About the AgeSmart! 411 Guide Directory
and Guide Network

AgeSmart! 411 is comprised of two websites focused those who live and work in the Aging space:
- The Directory site: people who are age 50 and older themselves
- This Network site, the site you’re reading now, for those who support older adults (like you!) as they age independently for as long as they can maintain their safety and their quality of life.

Guide Directory Site FAQs
Our Guide Directory is found here. You are invited to list your expertise for our important audiences (Older adults, their adult children, and other supporters).
It’s easy. Any Premium subscriber may be listed in our directory. Find here the steps for listing yourself and your expertise in our directory,
If you are not a Premium subscriber, then you’ll need to upgrade to be listed,
Our most current list of categories can be found here. You’ll be able to choose up to three (3) categories for your listing.
All guides are eligible to be listed in the directory as soon as they become (paid) Premium subscribers to this Network site.
To see which subscription you have, check your Dashboard. If you have a Free Network subscription, you’ll need to upgrade to a Premium Network subscription to get listed. (Find links for upgrading on your Free Dashboard.)
You are free to poke around the Directory site to gain inspiration for your own listing. You can also take a look at the form you’ll fill out to see what questions we want you to answer. (Find links for both from the Premium Dashboard.)
We’ve also set up a sample listing (with dummy information, in case you can’t tell!)
Yes. Simply contact us and we’ll take care of that for you.
We can remove your listing temporarily, or we can delete it entirely. Just let us know your preference. Include dates if needed.
Usually within one business day – with a few exceptions:
Your submission is a submission for approval first. If all is well, it will go live.
We will hold approval for a handful of reasons such as: you’ve chosen too many categories or subcategories, your web address isn’t accurate or it’s incomplete, your submission is a duplication, and others. If we don’t approve it, we’ll get back in touch, tell you why it’s not approved, and how to fix it.
Yes!
In fact – testimonials can go a long way toward encouraging potential customers and clients to contact you. So by all means, encourage those who have worked with you to submit an endorsement or testimonial.
At the bottom of each listing is a review form. That’s where all reviews / endorsements / testimonials belong. Further, they are set up (behind the scenes, tech stuff) to be found and highlighted by search engines. Good stuff!
No. Reviews are accepted only from people who have worked with you and want to tell the world about their experience.
Even if someone has reviewed you elsewhere and you want their words to appear on your AgeSmart! 411 listing, you’ll have to ask them to do add their words themselves. Send them a request, and include your listing link!
We’d love for you to show off your relationship with us!
It’s really quite easy.
Every listing in the directory has a unique link, so you can simply send them a link to your listing. Just copy your listing’s web address from the browser bar, then paste it in a text or email to forward it.
Additionally, we offer badges (a logo) for listed guides to add to their own websites (or print collateral). See if these badges work. If there’s something else along these lines we can help you with, let us know.
Subscription FAQs (Network Site)
These questions and answers will help you with your Network subscription questions.
If you have a Free subscription, it will last only 90 days and cannot be renewed. We hope you will upgrade your subscription to a Premium subscription.
A Premium subscription, which includes your listing in the Guide Directory, will last for one year and can be renewed.
If you are a Premium subscriber, you can find your renewal date listing in “My Account” from your Premium Dashboard.
No.
Free subscriptions do not and cannot renew at all.
We do not automatically renew Premium subscriptions. You’ll receive a notice about one month prior to your renewal date each year to be sure you maintain your subscription and guide listing.
You can always check on your subscription renewal date by logging in to your dashboard and finding a link to your Subscription Details.

These questions and answers may help you with both sites.
Not exactly two sites – we are two different locations with two different audiences, located within one domain.
The Guide Directory (AgeSmart411.com) is focused on our primary audience: Seniors / Older Adults, their caregivers including adult children or other relatives and loved ones, and other supporters such as media, clergy, medical personnel, and others. Those who support individuals who wish to age independently are our focus.
The Guide Network (network.AgeSmart411.com) (this site) is focused on YOU! You are the expert/professional who is in the business of providing the support our primary Directory office seeks.
To best figure out what’s available on each site. you can do a quick orientation, available in the Network site. Find the orientation here.
Both sites are rich with information, and become richer as each day goes by. New listings and information appear on the Directory site. New marketing ideas and tools appear on the Network site regularly.
Further, if there’s something you need, you may make a request at any time. Find the request form at the bottom of your Dashboard.
Yes – and no.
We do not provide a way to list products for sale like a shopping site might.
However, in your listing, you can mention products and services you offer – then link to them on your own website.*
*We do reserve the right to delete those links if we find your listing violates our Terms & Conditions.
